Fault Tolerant Dual Redundant Call Manager IPNext500

With the growth of business customers’ needs for IP telephony and converged applications, the trends towards ‘All IP’ communication environment are becoming a reality keeping pace with the technological advance of next generation networking. IPNext500 fault tolerant IP-PBX delivers a new cost effective IP communication solution for ‘All IP’ environment as a core system of AddPac’s comprehensive IP Telephony solution which features various end user terminal equipments such as AP-VP300, AP-VP280 IP video phone, AP-IP300, AP-IP230, AP-IP120 IP Phone, etc.
Designed on the foundation of high performance embedded RISC CPU, IPNext500 supports the dual system processor boards. Also, IPNext500 supports the dual power supply. It’s ideal IP-PBX system for medium and small size enterprise taking a full advantage of system stability.

Next Generation High Performance IP-PBX

AddPac IPNext500 NGN(Next Generation Network) IP-PBX provides the active-standby system duplication features for fault tolerant architecture. For the system duplication, it use the dual(2) Hot-Swap CPU boards at the front part of chassis. Also, it also comes with two(2) 10/100Mbps fast ethernet port and console port per CPU board. It features a wide variety of SIP based internal call scenarios such as Basic Call, Coloring Service, Music on Hold, Blind Transfer, Call Pickup, Group Call Pickup, Consult Call, Switching Call, Consult Transfer, Call Waiting, Call Waiting Notify, Call Park, Call Pickup Remote, Hunt Group, supporting SIP, H.323 for external calls concurrently. In addition, high capacity internal NAND flash memory is well-suited to the services which need sizable memory capacity such as Voice Mail ensuring the system consistency and the high availability.

RTP Proxy Features

Since the enterprise network environments configured with an IP-PBX and IP terminals require several IP address, either IP version 6 or a private IP address in the NAT environment must be supported to the enterprise networks due to the deficient resources of a public IP address. In such a private IP address environment, the RTP proxy feature is required for reliable multimedia communications between endpoint terminals. The RTP proxy feature of IPNext500 is used to make a communication between a private IP terminal and a public IP terminal among endpoint terminals such as IP phones, make a communication between a private IP terminal and a public IP terminal in the NAT environment, make a communication between private IP terminals, make audio/video broadcasting in private and public IP environments, and to enable audio/video conference calls in private and public IP environments. The RTP proxy feature can operate regardless of VoIP signaling protocols such as H.323 and SIP, and supports dual address systems such as IP version 4 and IP version 6 addresses

Intelligent Interactive Voice Response Functionality

One of the most important features of IP-PBX is Automatic Response System (ARS) or Interactive Voice Response (IVR) functionality. Companies, public offices, call centers and other types of enterprises may require different IVR functions. Customizable and time saving capabilities of AddPac’s IP-PBX solution can fulfills all these different types of requirement by providing a great flexibility of IVR Scenario Editor. AddPac IP-PBX solution provides the IVR scenario editor and IVR function management tool to bring satisfaction for each business to maximize application productivity by helping them to design and operate their own call scenario

Firmware Upgradeable Architecture

Designed on programmable high performance RISC CPU, IPNext500 is capable of adopting new capabilities and improvement by downloading firmware from website or with its auto-upgrade option as the customers' needs grow. New firmware for AddPac IP-PBX solution components such as video phone, IP phone, Smart Messenger tool can be downloaded from not only web page but also IPNext IP-PBX. IPNext IP-PBX software version upgrade system adopts top-down approach and provides IP-PBX system administrators with easy-to-use and efficient methods to achieve the overall management.

User Presence Service

AddPac IP-PBX product’s user presence service function provide user presence indication information to Smart Messenger or IP phone (AP-IP300, etc) with presence indication lamp keys. In order to support user presence features on real-time basis, such as user busy, on-line, user away, etc, user presence service function should be provided on IP telephony solution. User presence service function gathers user information (on-line, busy, etc) of each IP terminals from IP-PBX, and broadcasts user information to all or group IP terminals with speed-dial keys (built-in presence indication lamp) , smart messenger program at every second. For enterprise with medium size employee, IPNext500 supports the user presence server function beside call manager function. But, in case of large enterprise, external User Presence Server should be used with IP-PBX due to performance issue independently.

Unified Messaging Service

IPNext500 supports network based unified messaging service like as IP phone voice mailing service, E-mail notification, and web based Mailbox browsing service, etc. Basically, this service supports SIP VoIP signaling and IVR scenario managing tool for voice/video message recording/retrieval. Using VXML based IVR scenario editor software (AddPac Technology provided), user can make new IVR scenario and edit the pre-existed IVR scenario for new service addition, service modification, etc. IPNext500 supports memory (NAND Flash Memory, etc) Quota functions for each user’s voice/video mailbox, etc and e-mail notification function via internet. On business travel, user can monitor IP phone or video phone’s leaving message in office via internet e-mail check and using MS window media player software. Also, user can play voice/video message under various environments such as PSTN phone via VoIP gateway, E-mail, Web, Smart Messenger (AddPac) in addition to IP terminals (IP phone, IP video phone).

Outstanding Network Service Capability

IPNext500 is an integrated, feature-rich network equipment delivering routing, NAT/PAT, DHCP Server/Relay, Public IP sharing, VRRP and QoS. In today's mixed network of xDSL, Cable, FTTH, metro ethernet, metro ATM, leased line and dynamic IP environment, not only the ample network service features, but also high-end QoS(Quality of Service) and security features are requested..
