AP-SNR1016

AP-SNR1016 Standalone 16-Channel Network DVR Server is the next generation high performance digital video recording and processing system on network-basis, which combines the advantages of both Standalone and Network DVR. The AP-SNR1016 has one 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet interface and has been designed to mount 4 modules of 3.5-inch HDD in SATA Type into its slots and can be configured in RAID1 Redundancy Configuration. This DVR server has the video output interface of Component, S-Video, RCA and DVI interface to support High Definition (720P) DVR Monitoring through HDTV or LCD monitors.

Hardware Embedded Network DVR Server

The AddPac AP-SNR1016 Standalone Network DVR Server is a highly advanced IP surveillance product integrated with the high performance CPU module and video display hardware to be connected with HDTV or high video quality monitor. This DVR server has Gigabit Ethernet interface supported by high performance RISC processor and reliable OS to maximize its performance and efficiency.

4 SATA Type HDD Module Slots

The demand for the embedded network DVR server that supports reliability and high quality video services has been rising rapidly, as network-based high performance multimedia services including network DVR are emerging.
If AP-SNR1016 is used for Network DVR Streaming server, SATA type of 4 HDD modules can be mounted to provide the service. If 500 gigabyte HDD is used, the DVR server can have the storage capacity of 2 terabytes. In RAID1 configuration, DVR streaming service of 1 terabyte is possible.

Various DVR Control Interfaces

AP-SNR1016 can be controlled by USB mouse, remote controller and network-based Smart DVR Manager. AP-SNR1016 has been designed for easy-to-control, by using menu driven method of OSD on HDTV, such as camera registration and screen-split, which is directly connected to AP-SNR1016, without PC. Also MS-Window-based Smart DVR Manager program can used to configure the settings of many features for AP-SNR1016 easily and remotely.

Smart Network DVR Viewer

Web based Smart DVR Viewer is multi-channel video surveillance software for the AddPac Next Generation Standalone Network DVR Solution. The AddPac DVR Viewer receives live video bit stream, by using TCP/IP transmission protocol, sent from the DVR server, then decodes and displays on PC screen.
Smart DVR Viewer provides ‘stacking’ function: receiving many the video data transmitted from many AP-SNR1016 DVR servers. The viewer can take the MPEG-4 based multi-channel live video bit streams, transmitted from 25 IP cameras by TCP/IP and then processes MPEG-4 decoding, displays on the Window screen. The MS-Window based DVR viewer has been designed for adjusting the full screen size. The surveillance node of the network camera can be enabled by mouse-dragging from the live video camera list on the left side of the window.
Smart DVR Viewer can play each archive video individually which is saved in the DVR server. The viewer has the player which decodes a media file which is saved on hourly and daily basis. The archive video player of Smart DVR Viewer displays detailed information of the network camera such as the bandwidth, frame rate, and video resolution. The archive video player supports the window skip, slow forward (1/4x or 1/2x), and fast forward (2x, 4x, or 8x) features as well as jog shuttle for better surveillance.
Smart DVR Viewer supports various window layout features, and supports a 4-party screen, 8-party screen, 16-party screen, and several main screen modes. You can adjust the size of a display screen by using the mouse at the bottom right of the screen. Also, you can display the control panel along with DVR video at the top and left of the screen optionally.
Smart DVR Viewer also provides PAN/TILT/ZOOM control feature for each network camera. Through the control of Smart DVR Manager and by screen selection of a specific network camera in Smart DVR Viewer, the viewer can provide the additional features of adjusting brightness of the camera, mirroring and resetting together with PAN/TILT/ZOOM.
The control mechanism has been designed to be customized for each customer site, through RS-232C/RS422/RS485, depending on a camera type.
Smart DVR Viewer has a security feature that prevents an unauthorized user from accessing the DVR program, by login and password authentication in the beginning of the program. While Smart DVR Viewer is in use, the program saves user’s camera registration and configuration setting automatically and restores supports the configuration saving and restoration features that allow you to view the latest configuration settings when the program is used again or restarts by saving the registration information and settings of your network camera automatically when the program is used. Smart DVR Viewer can play the audio data transmitted from the network camera as well as the video. The viewer also provides the feature for playing the live video and playing back the recorded video. The audio codec of G.711 is supported and one channel can be selected for listening to a sound on real-time basis because of the audio peculiarity.

Stacking for System Scalability

Generally 16 IP cameras can be connected to AP-SNR1016 Standalone Network DVR server.
When many AP-SNR1016 DVR severs are installed and operated in one site (for instance, 25 IP cameras are used), the stacking feature of Smart DVR Viewer can be used.
Smart DVR Viewer is capable of receiving the video data transmitted from many AP-SNR1016 DVR servers. The viewer can take the MPEG-4 based multi-channel live video bit streams, transmitted from 25 IP cameras by TCP/IP and then processes MPEG-4 decoding, displays on the Window screen. Depending on PC performance, 32 and 64-party screen can be provided in near future.

Providing a Feature of Broadcasting Server for IP Camera

AP-SNR1016 Standalone Network DVR Server has an audio input interface on its rear panel for connecting an external microphone. So IP based voice broadcasting service can provided to the IP cameras connected to AP-SNR1016 through IP network.
The amp speaker connected to the IP Camera provides the necessary audio broadcasting service for unattended duty, traffic control, monitoring environment and disaster preparedness.
The system control for broadcasting can be configured through OSD of AP-SNR1016, by a remote control or mouse. OSD has been designed.

In addition, AP-SNR1016 DVR Server provides an efficient audio broadcasting feature by preset speed-dial number when the server is used with the AddPac IP Video Phone (example: AP-VP280).

Various Network Features and Advanced QoS Feature

AP-SNR1016 supports the latest features and advanced services ranging from the ones (e.g. a variety of network protocols, better Quality of Service (QoS), and the error concealment technology) specialized for an environment for video communication services to the Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) service for preventing a failure and load balancing. Accordingly, AP-SNR1016 can address various issues that may occur depending on network environments.

Firmware Upgrade-Enabled DSP-Based Hardware Upgradeable Codec

Since the high-performance RISC processor modules installed into AP-SNR1016 are all programmable, the features of AP-SNR1016 can continue to be improved, changed, or added. You can flexibly adapt to future technology evolution. If you download an added or changed feature from the home page directly or set an automatic upgrade option whenever feature addition or change is done, you can use the latest feature without further operations.

USB Interface Supported

The front and back panel of AP-SNR1016 has the two(2) USB 2.0 master mode interface. This interface supports USB Flash memory, USB hard disks, USB keyboards, and USB mouse. You can connect several USB devices to one another by connecting this interface to the USB hub. A separate power supply device should be used for a USB device that requires much power consumption. A DVR application uses the USB DVD storage device to back up video data of the hard disk in DVD.

Multi-Channel Video Surveillance

16 Multi-Channel Surveillance:

A video bit stream (e.g. AP-IPC50M, AP-IPC250M, etc.) compressed into MPEG-4/H.264 is transmitted from a remote site to the network DVR server and saved in the DVR server in real-time. The operator can perform real-time surveillance through a large monitor such as TV or a real-time video decoder. Also, a PC-based DVR client viewer allows the manager at a remote site to perform video surveillance. This product is applicable to surveillance systems such as traffic monitoring, environment monitoring, and accident monitoring.
