AP-GTR1000 Embedded GPS NTP Server Duplication for Fault Tolerant Service

AP-GTR1000 embedded GPS based NTP Server transmits GPS time information to IP based application server like as CCTV VMS which requires accurate time information.  Legacy GPS Time Receiver products only support RS232C Interface but AddPac AP-GTR1000 supports fast ethernet port as well as dual RS232 interface for backward compatibility.
AP-GTR1000 embedded GPS NTP Server is easy to manage remotely and provides excellent scalability. This device can be applied to various real-time video applications such as video surveillance, traffic management and monitoring for disaster prevention

In local area network, this device transmits GPS based time information to application server like as CCTV recording server by using NTP (Network Time Protocol) protocol. Without GPS based time synchronization or NTP server, if time is passed after installation or in service, each application server’s time clock is mismatched comparing with GPS based real-time. Especially, in case of CCTV application, time mismatching should be solved between real-time and CCTV application server’s current time.

For fault tolerant GPS NTP service, Linux or Window based application server support primary and secondary NTP server configuration as follow example. Using dual AP-GTR1000 NTP server, a user can implement fault tolerant GPS NTP service.
